Resort Pacifica

Where is it?
On the east coast of New Zealand's North Island is the Province known as "The Bay of Plenty".

The name Captain James Cook gave it is certainly applicable today. It is a verdant and productive area where kiwifruit, avocados, dairying and timber are found in abundance.

The dark green strip on the coast is Matakana Island which creates the quiet waters of the inner harbour. Resort Pacifica and the nearby township of Katikati are circled.

A favorable climate, the largest export Port in the country and a prosperous economy have made this the fastest growing Province in the country.

Tauranga and Mt. Maunganui are 1/2 an hour by car and the more secluded Waihi Beach and Pio Shores are somewhat closer. Auckland is 2 hours north by car.
