| On the east coast of New Zealand's North Island is the Province known as "The Bay of Plenty".
The name Captain James Cook gave it is certainly applicable today. It is a verdant and productive area where kiwifruit, avocados, dairying and timber are found in abundance. |

| The dark green strip on the coast is Matakana Island which creates the quiet waters of the inner harbour. Resort Pacifica and the nearby township of Katikati are circled. A favorable climate, the largest export Port in the country and a prosperous economy have made this the fastest growing Province in the country. Tauranga and Mt. Maunganui are 1/2 an hour by car and the more secluded Waihi Beach and Pio Shores are somewhat closer. Auckland is 2 hours north by car. |
